The walk home from downtown to our resort at Laguna Suites was absolutely awful! It took over an hour to get there. It was not only a long walk, but it was painful too! My feet hurt so bad from wearing my heels that I decided to walk barefoot half-way home. I also had to use the bathroom extremely bad, too. The walk home was cold because I was only wearing a beach dress. I hope that we never have to walk anywhere again. By the time we got to our room it was after 11:00 PM and I still had to shower and get ready for bed. Our wakeup call was set to be at 7:00 AM the next morning and I knew I was going to be dead. I got ready for bed as quickly as I possibly could so I could jump into the sheets for some shut eye.
The next thing I knew it was 7:28 AM Tuesday morning. The people at the front desk failed to give us a wakeup call. I was livid because our shuttle bus was set to pick us up at 7:55. I quickly shouted to my sister and dad that we needed to get up and get ready because we are running thirty minutes behind. Since I got ready all last night, I only had to quickly do my hair and put makeup on.
All three of us ran down to the lobby to hop on the shuttle bus when it arrived. The presentation for the timeshare was held about 5 minutes away at a resort called “Lagoon Suites”, an extremely similar name to our small resort called “Laguna Suites.” This resort was beautiful and much bigger than our resort. We went to the dining room that was on a huge deck next to the ocean. This room was enclosed by windows and made you feel like you were on a cruise ship. We met up with an extremely good looking young man from France. He was a tall and lanky young man. His name was Maxine, but thankfully for him he goes by Max. I knew right off that he was not from Mexico because of his accent. After meeting him, I wish I had an accent! He sat down at our table so we could all eat together and discuss the topic of a timeshare. The waiter took our drink order and then we went to the buffet to pick out what we wanted to eat for breakfast. I was not that hungry yet, but I knew it was going to be a long day ahead of us so I decided to get something healthy. I picked out mostly fruit and had a cook make me up a delicious omelet with all the fixings. Since I already had coffee waiting for me at our table, I decided to get some juice to wash down the omelet. There was a dark green colored juice that looked interesting to me. I knew some kind of vegetable had to be in it, so I sampled it to see if I wanted an entire cup. I took a sip and almost spit it out! It was disgusting! I asked a young waiter what was it in and he said spinach. I made a grumpy looking face and dumped it out. I like spinach as a food, but I do not want to drink spinach!
I went back to the table to join my dad, sister, and Max for breakfast and to talk about the day ahead of us.
