While the t95 Rock Squad Girls were on stage awaiting for Theory of a Deadman to arrive on stage, my boyfriend and I made our way to the floor, hoping to get close enough to the front. As we were walking up to the front we had to duck and squeeze in between people like we were walking through a twisted maze. Some people don’t mind when people try to get to the front row but others get really mad and shove us. I think to myself, it’s a concert and people need to get over the fact that we are here to have a good time. I didn’t pay money to get shoved around like a piece of meat.
We finally got to our destination, which was about five or so rows from the front. It was good enough because I knew once the concert got started there was going to be massive shoving and pushing. I absolutely hate being around a whole bunch of people. I start to freak out when people are too close to my personal bubble. The reason for this is because I went to a huge concert of around 55,000 people in Kansas City and I was crowd surfing on the whole crowd during a famous rock band, Shinedown, and I got dropped right in the middle of a mosh pit! I thought I was going to be trampled and suffocated because of course all the people around me were at least twice my size and didn’t care that a little girl my size was on the ground. Finally a security guard pulled me out of the oversized shoving crowd so I could breathe again. Being around a huge crowd really isn’t my thing, so I nicely asked my boyfriend if we could move towards the back so I could have some breathing room.
Once finally Theory of a Deadman finally decided to come on stage to perform their awesome show, I always notice that the lead singer tremendously resembles my boyfriend, Tanner. They both have several tattoos on their forearms and they both have the lean muscular body with black spiky hair.
They played several of my favorite songs such as, Hate my Life, Santa Monica, All or Nothing, No Surprise, and So happy. My all time favorite song they played is called “Bad Girlfriend.” That is my favorite song because if fits my personality almost perfect. My boyfriend always says I am a bad girlfriend, but in a good way. Many girls would think that being a “bad girlfriend” is bad, but this song makes it out to girls who are “bad girlfriends” basically means they are bad as in drop dead sexy and every guy truly wants that.
The concert was of course amazing just like every other show they put on. I really hope they come back to Wichita for another show and bring someone good to play with, like one of my favorite other rock bands. Concerts for me are a huge stress reliever because I can really express myself and not care what other people think of me!
